Got that out of the way.
Two young kids(highschool age) come into my store today.
them: "Does anyone know how to replace a belt on a car?"
me: "I'll try and help."
I go outside and they have a spray can of belt dressing sitting on the battery of a Ford Ranger.
me: "Oh, it's a serpentine belt. One of the idlers will move if you get a wrench on it."
I get a 15mm socket and show them which one, but I let them do it themselves. After a few minutes of fighting with the belt they have it on. I inform them not to use that belt dressing on a serpentine belt, because it can cause it slip. Turns out they sprayed that on while it was running and the belt flew right off.
"Ah, well don't do that again."
They thank me, we shake hands and they go about there way with a little more knowledge.

Is it bad that I recognized it right away?
